About this course
The Pharmaceutical Statistics course at the University of Jordan is designed specifically for pharmacy students. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to statistical methods and their applications in the pharmaceutical sciences, essential for analyzing and interpreting data in clinical research, drug development, and healthcare settings.
Focusing on core topics such as data collection, descriptive statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and biostatistics, students will develop the skills to apply statistical techniques in the evaluation of drug efficacy, safety, and quality control. Emphasis is placed on understanding statistical tools used in clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and pharmacoeconomics, helping students bridge the gap between statistical theory and practical applications in the pharmaceutical field.
The course also includes case studies and real-world examples to illustrate how statistical methods are applied in pharmacy practice and research. Under the guidance of expert faculty, students will learn how to use statistical software, analyze experimental data, and interpret results in a meaningful way, preparing them for the analytical demands of the pharmaceutical industry.
By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in pharmaceutical statistics, equipping them for further studies in areas such as clinical research, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacovigilance. This course will also prepare them to confidently apply statistical concepts in their future careers within the pharmaceutical industry, research institutions, and healthcare organizations.
